Falling Pieces Of Love

Before I start, let me tell you that I am not writing a story that start with "Once upon a time" but I am writing my thoughts about the relationship for generation where I belong. I am not suggesting what is good or bad because I fall in the same boat (or think similarly hence I will use "We"!). So, here is few questions to start with - have you ever thought about why people suddenly become so inept at holding relationship? Why it is so hard today? Why we fail each time, even when we try our best? Have we forgotten how to love or what love is?

We are looking for instant indulgence in everything. The things we post on social media, the career we choose, the friends we make, and the the people we fall in love with. It is not love we are looking for, only temporary excitement and thrill in life. We don't want partner in life but someone who can make us feel alive for that very instant. We belong to a generation where our threshold for passion, patience, and commitment has become very low. We are not prepared for the sacrifices and compromises it takes to grow unconditional love - we want everything easy. Even single hurdle is enough for us to get out of any situation. We let things go before even trying based on our own narrow minded judgements.

We are living life as daydreams. We are so busy in chasing materialistic things in our life and there is no room for people who really care for us. We want someone to come with us to party, movie, or trip, but we don't want someone who really understands and willing to do anything just to make you feel happy. We like to spend time together, but we don't want to make memories because it is too cliche (right?). We are blinded by the thrill of adventure and short term pleasure that love is too boring - people say they don't have a time, ha-ha!

This is generation of quick "Make-up" and "Break-up". Our physical presence has no more importance because we are too busy in texting, chatting, and writing posts on social media. We don't think spending time together because we quickly judge people and assume there is nothing left to know. We decide to have Sex first, then decide if you like it or not - Sex with a stranger is new Cool!! We forget that sex comes easy, loyalty doesn't. We believe in meeting more people, but not right people. We believe in having "Options". We get into relationship with slightest attraction and step-out, the moment we find someone better.

The relationship is simple, no more. There is an open relationship, one night stands, no string attached, friend with benefit and many.. We date many people but hardly give a chance to anyone who really cares. We are the practical generation that love is very sensible for us. I think we are scared to fall, to get hurt. We like to lurk from behind the wall, so we can run away the moment we find love - we suddenly can't handle so much love!!

There is nothing I or you can change after reading this because everyone thinks differently, even your closest friend or family. The purpose of writing this long is to remind you of human natural instinct. Also, I am not presenting any biased view, it is nothing but some of my observations. It is an individual choice to live their life in their on term, but if you really want to live life with feel then when you find love - don't avoid it, don't suppress it, and don't judge it for your own good.
